Symbiosis Institute of Telecom Management (SITM) is one of the top business schools of India.

Placements for the batch 2005-07 at SITM completed in 7 hours flat. The average salary package for the batch was 5.5lac.

Placements for Batch 2004-2006 at SITM reiterated the confidence of the IT & telecommunications industry in the competence and capability of the students[citation needed].

Symbiosis Institute of Telecom Management has been bringing together key personalities from the telecom industry and government institutions on a common platform through the National Telecom Seminar Communiqué to discuss the contemporary issues confronting them.

In 2005 the institute organized Communiqué 05- The IX National Telecom Seminar titled Realising New Avenues in a Diverse Telecom Landscape… "Exploring New Paradigm", which focused on the imminent changes rising on the horizon of the telecom sector. Issues like 3G Evolution and Rural Penetration were discussed. The panel discussion saw the panelists discussing "Number Portability: The Cellular Conundrum". It was instrumental in bringing together the industry, the regulator and the consumer thus expediting the implementation of cellular number portability in India
