For a contracting firm to provide designing and fabrication of different machines and components to different industries. Designed manufactured and provided backup during warrantee period for sleeve fixing machine (semiautomatic hydraulic press). This was supplied to Thal Engineering (Car A/c manufacturer in collaboration with Nippon Denso of Japan). The machine carries out part of process in the manufacture of car a/c flexible hose, and is in operation for the last 7 years. Designed and supplied automatic hydraulic batch mixer to Grind Wheels (Pak) Limited. Designed fabricate and supplied Dumb waiter (fancy cargo lift from kitchen to living room) to private bungalow. Commercially designed multi-spindle drilling machine to Alteck precision engineering (for ultimate consumption of Alsons limited). Looking after maintenance and modification of their plant. The plant contains wooden log handling equipment and saw machines. Chippers and flakers different kinds of light and heavy duty conveying equipment and elevators, chip stocking and homogenizing bunkers, chip dryer with pneumatic conveying centrifugal blowers more then 2 meters in diameter. Different hammer mills sieve shaker storage silos and bunkers. Glue blending systems. Forming prepress loader, hot press unloader edge cutter board coolers etc. The manufacturer is in the process of revamping and modernizing the plant and has sought my assistance.
Following changes are brought about in the equipment: 1. Design fabrication in-house and installation of by pass conveyor to offload the chips on the floor of the storage hall in the event the storage bunker is full. 2. Modification of all the cylinders in different equipment to incorporate Polyurethane hydraulic seals in place of rubber-canvas seals and chevron-packings. 3. Modification of forming station; by raising it by 1200 mm and installing vibrating sieves so that the board construction is sandwich type with core is of coarse and faces are of fine material. 4. Replacement of old mechanically operated pin type pilot valves with Tiefenbach GmbH (Water Hydraulic) solenoid valves. 5. Design and installation of filter and suction header for the battery of water hydraulic plunger pumps. 6. Modification of board unloader by designing unloader racks with rollers. Designing in-house fabrication, installation and commissioning of 250 bar delivery header system with in-house designed non-return and pressure relief valves of 30 mm port size. Designing and fabrication of different jigs for making new shaft for the chip dryer. Designing fabricating of water hydraulic cylinder, double action but with seals only on the shafts, to convert the system from low pressure 50 bars to 210 bars.
