[edit] Copyright Permission

I often take material from my web site and use it here on Wikipedia. http://www.swtpc.com/mholley

Here is the permission section from my web site.

I want this information to be available to all and you can make copies of any of the files for personal use. If you want to use a few images or pages for commercial use you may do so without additional permission. If you want to publish any of my original photos or material and need a written release, I can provide that.

[edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:Electronics Illustrated Mar 1962.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:Electronics Illustrated Mar 1962.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently specifies that the image is unlicensed for use on Wikipedia and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Fritz Saalfeld (Talk) 17:50, 26 November 2006 (UTC)

This image is a duplicate of Image:Electronics Illustrated Mar 1961.jpg which is used in the article Electronics_Illustrated. I did not know how to mark a image for deletion. SWTPC6800 16:45, 27 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] bytes issu

Sorry to take so long to get back to you. I dont know how worthwhile fighting this issue is. One of the most important things I have learned is to choose your battles carefully. Is it horribly hurting the encylopedia what they are doing? In my humble opinion not. (that is just my opinion). If you feel that what they are doing is damaging this encylopedia, then in all means support other forms of getting them to stop, perhaps a request for comment. -- Chrislk02 (Chris Kreider) 20:41, 30 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] bibibibibibibbytes

Thank you for the KIM-1 direct quotes; none of this would have been necessary had the Wikipedia "consensus" actually made sense. --Wtshymanski 23:19, 31 March 2007 (UTC)
