Technical note: This curve is not meant to be a sinusoid, nor is it a graph of instantaneous voltage against distance or time. It is the {maximum excursion of the voltage over time} with respect to {distance} in a uniform, lossless transmission line. Please see the "SWR" article for details of the mathematical function that it represents.
