Spoiler warning: Plot and/or ending details follow.
The Lady of the Lake appears before the Charmed Ones, pleading for their help in protecting Excalibur, the legendary Sword in the Stone. A dozen magical beings arrive at the manor to try their hand at pulling the sword from the stone, but it's Piper who finally pulls Excalibur out of the stone, causing a whirlwind that coalesces into a mysterious figure called Mordaunt. Richard realizes that Mordaunt can't be trusted, but before he can intervene, Mordaunt tricks Piper into relinquishing the sword and its power to him.

- Another title used to promote this episode by The WB was Charmed in Camelot in the US and Queen Piper 1 in Australia.

- Mordaunt says here that Merlin was fake, but in the episode We're Off to See the Wizard, the Wizard says that Merlin was real and states that Merlin was a hog.
- The Grimlock that is part of Piper's demonic Round Table was vanquished in the previous episode Soul Survivor. However, it seems that all Grimlocks look the same.
