SWOP is a fusion of Swing and Hip hop dances, created by Hinton Battle. It contains steps from Hip Hop, Break Dancing, Lindy Hop and Swing Air Steps (Aerials). The first appearance of this new style was in the movie Idlewild in 2006. Later, a performance in the popular TV show "Dancing with the Stars" followed.
