Swisher Sweets are large cigarettes disguised as cigars. Just because a cigar has a hole in the end doesn't mean it has to be terrible. Garcia Y. Vega is a good example of a decent cheap brand. But Swishers are disgusting. Let's look at the facts: 1. Normal cigars you can puff on for 5 minutes strait without a noticible decrease in size, but swishers go down with every drag, just like cigarettes. 2. Normal cigars taste good and make the room smell heavenly, but swishers taste like a campfire and make the room smell like the smoking section at Burger King. 3. Normal cigars don't ash easy and gracefully drop off in nice little sections that remain intact even after they hit the ground. Swishers ash just like cigarettes, turning to dust at the slightest breeze or turbulence much to the dismay of many smoker's t-shirts.

If you want a cheap cigar, try Garcia y Vega. They're not Upmanns by any means, but they'll seem like it when compared to Swishers.

I don't know, but I personally enjoy the flavor and scent of Swishers. (Even the Little Cigers, whish are as close to cigarettes as a cigar can get). They do have many of the traits of cigarettes, but they still taste a hell of a lot better, and yes, they're cheap. --Xc4l1br 03:07, 3 August 2006 (UTC)

Since I wrote the previous rant, I've discovered most tobacco shops stock a low end brand of "real" cigars for about $1.25 a pop, which is just a few pennies more than a Swisher. Around here it's "Our Founder's Choice." Handmade in Honduras, and cheap as hell. If you want a cheap cigar, you don't have to settle for Phillies, Swishers, or any other cigarette-in-disguise gas station brand. Just go to your local tobacco shop (if you have one) and ask em where the cheap stuff is.

[edit] Factual?

who knows? There is a reference in the Playa Poncho song, "let it burn" to philly blunts and swisher sweets, and the song is primarily about smoking weed (or marijuana) so their use as drug paraphanalia has been recorded in popular culture. User:Tapsell-not logged in

Okay, studies have shown that most people buying Swishers intend to use them to smoke pot? Can anyone please prove this, if it's true? --Xc4l1br 03:07, 3 August 2006 (UTC)

that is deffiantly true becuse that is what i use to smoke pot. I roll blunts with the papers of the tequila flavored ones. it tastes great :)

--Garcia Y Vega Green leafs are the best, but after you smoke them for years, a Swisher is a nice lite alternative when the lungs are down.

I know several people that smoke swishers (including myself sometimes). Nobody I know uses Swishers to smoke marijuana. The friends I have that do roll blunts use some other kind. I think the statement is not based on any real study, and should be removed. --BennyD 00:33, 24 August 2006 (UTC)

It could be modified. I personally do not push the tobacco out, but a heck of a lot of people do. They may not be citing any studies, but it is clearly true. And I wouldn't say most people. But many people do use them for that.

[edit] Edited

whoever put the line about how most people who buy them dont smoke them as is was obviously making the statistic up, and it is irrelevant how many people actually do that. the only relevance is that it is done and can be done.

do they have nicotine?
