"The measure of the popularity and success of a jazz musician at that time was whether or not he had played Swing Street, or the Apple. There is some evidence that Cab Calloway coined that phrase for this street." WHAT phrase? Swing Street, or The Apple? It's not clear what the antecedent is for the phrase "that phrase".
