Switch? is a pricing game on the American television game show The Price Is Right. Debuting on February 27, 1992, this game is played for two four-digit prizes, each worth more than $2,000.

[edit] Gameplay

The contestant is shown two prizes, each with an assigned price. The contestant must decide whether the prices are on the correct prizes, or if they should be switched.

A correct decision wins the player both prizes.

[edit] Trivia

  • Switch? is best known for its peppy music cue, used when the models are beckoned to "switch" the prices.
    • That musical cue is also the tail end of the song played during Switcheroo.
  • On landmark episodes (including the 34th season premiere, aired September 19, 2005) and primetime specials, Switch? has occasionally been played for two cars.
  • It seems very likely that Switch? was added to the show as a replacement for Bump. The latter was abruptly removed from the pricing game rotation in November 1991, and the former was introduced just as abruptly three months later.[citation needed]
  • Switch? is the only pricing game that can have all of the right answers in place when it begins.
