Swingin' Thing were a glam metal band featuring singer Paul E. Bardot, guitarist Chris Penketh, guitarist Sunny Phillips, bassist Henry Kelly, and drummer Mike Penketh.

They later changed their name to The Things.

As Swingin' Thing they released a self-titled EP.

As The Things they released an album that was co-produced by Warrant guitarist Erik Turner and former Black N' Blue and current Kiss guitarist Tommy Thayer.
