Swiffer
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Swiffer is a line of cleaning products by Procter & Gamble. Names of Swiffer products include Swiffer WetJet and Swiffer dusters. Catherine Schwartz claims to have thought up the idea for the Swiffer while she was an intern at Procter & Gamble, under terms that assigned all rights to the corporation. The design for the Swiffer line resulted from a collaboration between Procter & Gamble and the design firm Design Continuum.
The brand uses the popular Razor and blades business model, whereby the consumer purchases the handle assembly at a low price and must continue to purchase replacement pads over the life of the product.
