Sheffield wednesday vital football

A tag has been placed on Sheffield wednesday vital football, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group or service and which would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11, as well as the guidelines on spam.

If you can indicate why the subject of this article is not blatant advertising, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add {{hangon}} on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would help make it encyclopedic, as well as adding any citations from reliable sources to ensure that the article will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Slp1 22:39, 22 December 2006 (UTC)

Hi Swfcowls, Thanks for your message on my page. The reason that Sheffield wednesday vital football keeps getting deleted is that people think it is not an important enough subject for Wikipedia. It is also not easily verifiable since when I google it, it only gets 2 google hits. Hope that helps! --Slp1 22:53, 22 December 2006 (UTC)

We welcome your help in trying to improve Wikipedia, and we ask you to follow these instructions. Mhking 22:54, 22 December 2006 (UTC)

You can make a Sheffield wednesday vital football page, as a sub page of your User:Swfcowls user page but there's nothing important enough to merit a wikipedia page. --Walter Görlitz 23:28, 22 December 2006 (UTC)

Reply re. vandalism

If your explanation about someone else using your computer is true, then please be more careful in future not to let your classmates use your computer when you're logged into Wikipedia. However, this does not explain the many other edits that you've made which may also be considered as vandalism. If this username continues to vandalise Wikipedia then it will be blocked. -- MightyWarrior 16:17, 12 January 2007 (UTC)

SWFC vital

Looking at previous discussions, an article on Sheffield Wednesday FC Vital doesn't appear to have a concensus in favour of its creation (e.g. it was speedily deleted in Dec 2006). To me it seems that a very specialized and small web-site, forum or blog such as this would not merit a separate article within Wikipedia. However, there is already a link to it from the "External Links" section of the Sheffield Wednesday F.C. article. This seems to be as much as is needed for the Wikipedia encyclopedia.

By the way, in order to sign your posts, you simply need to add ~~~~ at the end of your comment or question. -- MightyWarrior 20:20, 12 January 2007 (UTC)

You can do what you like - Wikipedia is open to anyone to edit! But if you contravene any of the Wikipedia policies then it'll get removed. Everything on Wikipedia is "concensus-driven" – that is, after sufficient time for debate, the majority view prevails. Good luck! -- MightyWarrior 21:44, 12 January 2007 (UTC)

Transfer rumours

Please do not add transfer rumours to pages, as you did to Ishmael Miller. Contributions should be of facts, not rumours, and should cite reliable sources to meet Wikipedia's verifiability policy. Thanks. Oldelpaso 19:33, 24 January 2007 (UTC)
