Talk:Swedish Governors-General
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
This is very confusing. It should be separated up among the different places of which they were Governor-General, no? john 07:01 27 May 2003 (UTC)
- This is a list of governors, not of governed territories. If you are looking for the territories take a look at the dominions link. The entry on Swedish Wikipedia has a different premise. -- Mic 07:23 27 May 2003 (UTC)

- But what value does such a list have? It's confusing and not very helpful, isn't it? Or am I missing something? john 08:25 27 May 2003 (UTC)

- What value does any information on Wikipedia have? I don't see your point. -- Mic 08:44 27 May 2003 (UTC)

There seems to be a gap for Livonia and the Baltic provinces. As I just "passing by" and don't have any reference books with me these suggestions will have to be confirmed: Livonia: After Jacob De la Gardie, there is a governor general for a very short time, 4-6 months I believe, prior to Johan Skytte's appointment. Skytte is the joker in this game. He is appointed, I believe, Governor General of Ingria, Carellia, Estonia and Livonia from 1628 to either 1632 or 1633.
