[edit] AfD nomination

Hi, I've nominated LDAP authentication in Linux, please do contribute to the discussion. Are you aware of wikibooks? brenneman(t)(c) 11:42, 6 December 2005 (UTC)

Hi, Al of your contributions are more suited at Wikibooks than at wikipedia. Please understand that wikipedia is not a place for instruction manuals. --PamriTalk 17:43, 6 December 2005 (UTC)

Hi Swapnil durgade, I have moved this to your userspace, as User:Swapnil durgade/LDAP authentication in Linux. If you want it left there, that's fine. If you want it put somewhere else and need help with it, let me know. If you want it deleted from your userspace let me know that too, and I'll take care of it for you. Cheers! The page should be searchable by other users, but when I tried to do a search, it didn't show up. I added the text "LDAP authentication in Linux" to the page itself, but it still doesn't work. It could be a server-lag issue (I don't think the search util is hosted on the same server as the user article space. As for what's permitted in your userspace, check out Wikipedia:User page, but keep this in mind as well. (Note: I got both those links by skimming through WP:WHY, which you might want to review when you get a chance...there's a lot of useful information on that page.) Cheers, Tomertalk 05:01, 16 December 2005 (UTC)
Thanks for the "Leave a message" thing...I've considered doing that before, but never got around to it. :-) Also, just a quick note, regarding moving pages...you should have a button on top of article pages that says "move". Don't go crazy with it ;-) Tomertalk 05:03, 16 December 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Deletion of Pages

Please don't blank pages that you want to delete. It causes us no end of grief here and with other Wikimedia projects. If you can, please use the {{delete|comment}} markup template on the page if you want to delete something from here. We will find the page sooner and be able to deal with the deletion without having to fight through other pages first.

Thank you, though, for trying to help make Wikibooks a better place. We do appreciate people like you trying to help find stuff that really doesn't belong. --Robert Horning 19:21, 23 January 2006 (UTC)
