[edit] Anthropomorphic?

Is Swartt really an anthropomorphic ferret? There is no mention in the main article on Redwall of the creatures being anthro, so I'm inclined to think he's technically not. I've removed the word for now, though he could well be anthro of course. Prophaniti 03:39, 4 October 2006 (UTC)

Do you know what Anthropomorphic means? Anthropomorphism is a literary device wherein a writer assigns human characteristics (human thoughts, emotions, speech, etc.) to a non-human character. In other words, a talking plant, table, or ferret in a book or movie is an anthropomorphic character. Since the author assigns human characteristics to Swartt (like he does to all his characters), Swartt can be said to be an anthropomorphic ferret.
