Swayambhu
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Swayambhu (also spelt Svayambhu) means self-manifested or that which is created by its own accord and not by a tool or by human hand. Several Lingams of Shiva adornments of Hindu temple sanctum sanctorum have been held sacred as natural mounds. The Jyotirlinga at Ujjain, MP is believed to be one such Swayambhu.[1]
