Swansea West is a constituency of the House of Commons of the Parliament of the United Kingdom. It elects one Member of Parliament (MP) by the first past the post system of election.

The Swansea West National Assembly for Wales constituency presently has the same boundaries.

The more middle-class of the two Swansea seats, Swansea West was held by the Conservatives between 1959 - 1964. It is now regarded as a fairly safe Labour seat, though the Liberal Democrats, rather than the Conservatives, put in a strong challange in 2005.
