Swami Rama Tirtha

Swami Rama Tirtha (earlier known as Gossain Tirtha Rama) (Born Oct 22 1873, died Oct 17 1906), was a notable Indian follower of the Hindu philosophy of Vedanta.He was influenced by Swami Vivekananda. He was among the first to spread this philosophy to the west. He travelled to U.S.A.,Japan and Egypt. He worked previously as a Maths Professor. He was born in Murariwala, Gujranwala district, in Punjab (now in Pakistan).

Swami Ram Tirtha Mission Ashram is located at Kotal Goan Rajpur near Dehra Doon in Uttaranchal India where his teachings are practised.
