Svit is a small town and municipality in Poprad District in the Prešov Region in northern Slovakia. It lies 4 km west of the town of Poprad, in the High Tatra Mountains.
Svit is one of the youngest Slovak towns. It was established in 1934 by Bata Shoes Company in accordance with the company policy to set up villages around the factories for the workers. Svit is short for "Slovenské vizkózové továrne" (in English Slovak Viscous Works). Svit is the smallest town in Slovakia (4.5 km²) with the population of 7,400.
