Sven Wollter

Sven Wollter (born January 11, 1934) is a Swedish actor. He was born and grew up in Gothenburg.
Sven Wollter is a very successful and beloved actor in Sweden and has starred in many films such as, The Man on the Roof, Änglagård and Jerusalem, based on the novel by Selma Lagerlöf. He has been in TV series such as Natives of Hemsö based on the novel by August Strindberg and Raskens from 1976, based on the novel by Vilhelm Moberg, which helped launch Wollter's career. He has also been in many plays.
Wollter has starred briefly in Hollywood productions such as The 13th Warrior in which he played a Viking chief.
Sven Wollter has been active as an artist in the Swedish workers' movement since his youth and is a long time member of the Swedish Communist Party (formerly KFML(r)/KPML(r)). His activities include Fria Proteatern and the successful Tältprojektet, The Tent Project, a musical theater performance on the history of the Swedish working class that toured the country the summer of 1977.
