Suzanne Adams

Suzanne Adams (1873-1953) was an American lyric - coloratura soprano.
She was born in Cambridge, Massachusetts, studied in Paris with Salvatore Marchesi, and made her début at the Paris Opera in 1894 as Juliette in Charles Gounod's Roméo et Juliette.
She remained at the Opers three years, then went to Nice. In the summer of 1898 she appeared at Covent Garden, London, and during the season of 1898-99 at the Metropolitan Opera House, New York.
In 1898 she was married to Leo Stern, a musician who died in 1904.
Her rôles included Juliette, Marguerite, Gilda, Queen in Les Huguenots, Queen of the Night in the Magic Flute, Mimi, and Micaela.
