Suyeong-gu is a gu in central Busan, South Korea. It has an area of 10.16 km², and a population of about 180,000. Suyeong-gu was created in 1995 following its separation from Nam-gu.The word Suyeung in the Korean language means "swimming" or "to swim". The relevance of this could be the location of Gwang-ali beach in Suyeung. Subway line 2 runs through Suyeong and subway line 3 ends in Suyeong making Suyeong an important location for subway transportation/transfers.
