- Evidence
This account (User:Filmfan1971) is certainly a sleeper account set up to get around a semi-protection status, is and sock puppet of banned user User:Argol136. This account is set up to circumvent indefinate blocks due to multiple 3RR violations and vandalism to Shaw and Crompton which also goes against Wikipedia:Naming conventions (places).
For confirmation, see the Shaw and Crompton edit history.
This user uses Dynamic IP allocation, but, since semi-protection was put in place, has also used sock puppets User:Algol126, User:Praesepe913, User:Hankinshaw and User:MillwardBrown.
This user is simply trying to hide mentions of Metropolitan Borough of Oldham from the article (we've even had to provide a reference for it), in place of an ancient and disused land division called Lancashire. The reason being due to the Oldham boroughs association with high ethnic minority population (see [this edit and Oldham Riots).
This latest account does deviate from previous styles of editing, but the edits largely try to 1.- Alter the Shaw and Crompton article to the same effect, and 2.- Try to get me in trouble.
Swift action would be much appreciated due to this user's increasing sophistication with using Wikipedia.
If an admin could contact me about this kind of behaviour, and how I can stop this user a little more easily (I have documented all of their edits and accounts) I would be very grateful, as I'd rather be adding content than fighting this guy. Jhamez84 18:43, 22 June 2006 (UTC)
