The suribachi and surikogi arrived from China after the turn of the last millennium.

We've had a suribachi in my family kitchen since I was in high school or college (in the '60s and 70s), and we aren't Asian, so it wasn't sent to us by relatives. I did grow up in San Francisco, though, but this is still wrong for the U.S. Also, if the writer was referring to another country, or any country, I guess, they really should say which one. Thanks. Ah, my bad. I guess the writer was talking about Japan. Is it possible that we in the U.S. would have had these 50 years before the did?Zlama 06:34, 5 March 2007 (UTC)
