Survivor South Africa Malaysia aka Survivor South Africa 2 is the second season of the hit show Survivor South Africa. The first season was in held in the Pearl Islands of Panama, while this one is somewhere in Malaysia though the region is unclear though. This year Survivor South Africa will start off with a bang as there will be 16 contestants playing instead of 14. And the big twist is that South Africa will be choosing the 16th castaway to play the game. The format of the game will be more or less like the US version but with somethings different to suit local flavors. The prize again will be R1,000,000 and last season's host Mark Bayly will be returning. The application process has began and will end on the 2 April 2007 to accomidate with the new world-wide twist. The 16th contestant will be voted in during a vote from 23 - 30 April 2007. Filming will begin in mid May and end in June and the show will be broadcast sometime in August 2007
