A surround sound test CD usually refers to a compact disc containing audible test tones such as sine waves. The specialized disc is used to calibrate (align) surround systems. It includes tests used to check left, right, center, left surround, right surround, and subwoofer. There are a variety of surround sound test CDs on the market today.
