Surprising like Super-Racer is an episode of the series Ōban Star-Racers.
Unable to reach Molly, who has shut herself up in her room, Don Wei decides to have Rick personally train her, which Molly reluctantly accepts. Meanwhile, Jordan confirms a long-standing rumor, then he and Molly race an opponent they have met before...
[edit] Plot
Molly has just about had enough. She is still angry at everyone for what happened in the race against Aikka and refuses to answer Don Wei's summons when he demands she come out of her room. Finding no means to get through to her he sends in Rick to talk to her. Almost immediately Rick puts Molly through a vigorous training exercise (which she reluctantly accepts), though Molly doesn't understand how running will help her win races. He stresses that she needs to become 'one breathing entity' while piloting and the two start to bond as Molly finally cracks down as to why she's there, though she doesn't reveal that Don Wei's her father, nor can she say why she joined the Earth team in the first place.
Meanwhile, Jordan is walking around town still clearly upset not only at losing the race but also Molly's violent reaction to him afterwards. He spots Aikka incognito and after fuming to himself 'this is all your fault' runs after the prince. He ends up following Aikka down a secret passage where the prince meets up with Colonel Toros of the Crogs who reminds him to keep following orders and win the races. Aikka, then reminds Toros that their alliance "is not servitude". Here, Jordan confirms the rumors of the Crog/Nourasian alliance, and comments how he wishes Molly could see what the prince is doing. Back outside Jordan ambushes Aikka and challenges him to a fight. Clearly still angry, Aikka throws off his cloak and takes up his challenge.
The next day the Earth team has their next race against the 'Super Racer', someone who's considered one of the best racers of all time. Jordan is nursing a bruise on his face (showing that his fight with Aikka didn't go well) but Molly, fresh from her new training, is pumped for the race with a brand new paint job on part of the star racer (much to Don Wei's consternation and Rick's amusement). Surprisingly, Super Racer is revealed to be Satis wearing a mask and piloting a very childish looking star racer.
The race is underway and Molly quickly gains the lead. But Super-racer proves to be a formidable opponent as he unleashes his secret weapon involving two giant balls flying quickly in circles through a hole in his star racer. The balls do a lot of damage to the Earth racer and even knock off Jordan's turret, which quickly becomes part of Super-racer's ball orbit. But Jordan won't have any of that and proceeds to attack Super-racer's cockpit with his bare hands until Super-racer ejects him off his star racer. Molly tries to go back and catch him but everyone encourages her to keep going with the race since the rescue team will take care of Jordan. They get closer to the finish line and Super-racer's balls start weaving around at top speeds, making it seem impossible to pass. Even Don Wei loses hope. But Molly remembers her training and being 'one breathing entity' and is able to maneuver around the balls and claim victory. Don Wei does his usual (in Molly's eyes) routine of covering up his worry with pride by commenting about how careless she is, but that he'll "take the victory". Rick however, is very impressed by what he considers to be an awesome race. Later Molly and Jordan stare at the sunset as they get ready for their next race.
All the while, Rick discovers that the Arrow I was in fact sabotaged, having inadvertently learned from the saboteur himself that he had done it under orders from "The Timeless One"...
