Suresh Luthra

Suresh Luthra (November 27 1944 - present) was a former Punjabi cricketer. He was a fast bowler. He joined the Delhi cricket team in 1965, at the age of 20, and later went on to play for the Punjab cricket team. While his batting was generally considered mediocre, he scored 1014 runs in 76 innings in First Class cricket (the Ranji Trophy) and made one century in his career.
His bowling was more successful, with 262 wickets in 67 matches. Once he achieve 9/70 in one single innings. He averaged 16.92 and ammassed 14 five-wicket hauls and 2 ten-wicket hauls. Thus he managed a haul in approximately one in four of his matches. He played some limited overs cricket unsuccessfully before retiring in 1981.
