Normally I wouldn't think of removing information from an article, such as Gobi Desert. I checked the talk page and didn't see any notes there from you about this. Is there a reason you would remove a measurement in kilometers, which is an international unit and also used by people in that area, in favor of a measurement used by fewer people?
