[edit] Indy Superspeedway
Indy is used as a superspeedway for NASCAR, and the drivers turn left only. Indy is used as a road course for Formula 1, so the drivers turn in both directions. The usage described in this article is the NASCAR use. Royalbroil 01:45, 10 April 2006 (UTC)
- Pardons; I knew the Brickyard 500 used left turns, but I thought the Indy 500 used right turns. A google search has corrected me. --Golbez 01:50, 10 April 2006 (UTC)
[edit] 1 Mile?
Is there some sort of document or web site that actually says that a superspeedway is one mile. I've always heard that a superspeedway was over two miles and a track that doesn't require braking as much as the others (i.e. Daytona, Talladega). —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Raderick (talk • contribs) 09:28, 11 January 2007 (UTC).
