Superexploitation refers to unusually severe or intensive exploitation.
In Marxian economics, superexploitation refers to a situation where workers are paid wages below the real value of their labor power.
Extreme cases of superexploitation include:
- cases of forced labor where workers are responsible for their own keep but must work under duress for a pittance;
- cases of formal or de facto slavery, where the slaves are literally worked to death, as expendable instruments of production.
- where the complete creative performance of individuals or groups is stolen and utilised for private gain without acknowledgement and against their wishes.
