Super Shot (ride)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Super Shot is a drop ride that appears at some carnivals. It is made by [A.R.M.] There are only 12 seats per car. The ride ascends the tower by cable with passengers facing the center of the ride. As soon as it gets to the top, it drops.
[edit] The Ride Cycle
On the Super Shot, you never know when you will reach the top of the ride at 100 feet. The reason is because there are metal sheets that say Super Shot above the seats. They are at a curved angle. So, even if you look up, you don't know when you are reaching the greatest height of the ride. The thing is that this ride goes up extremely slow. The ride will automatically drop you once you reach the top, and stop the gondola through magnetics once you come down. There is a carriage that lifts the gondola to the top of the tower. This carriage stays at the top during the drop, and it comes back down when the ride has finished.
[edit] Carnivals That Have Super Shot
The ride is at some carnivals, but not a lot. The thing is that, this ride isn't a multiple ticket seller. In other words, people ride it once, and then don't want to ride it multiple times unless the carnival has a wristband deal.
Anyway, some carnivals that have them are:
- NAME (Formerly Astro Amusements)
- Fantasy Amusements
- Windy City Amusements
