Sunnybank Hills, Queensland

Sunnybank Hills (SBK) is an outer suburb situated about 18km south of Brisbane CBD, in Queensland, Australia. It is a multicultural and affluent suburb despite a steadily rising crime rate. Over 51% of households in the area are couples with children, 31% are couples without children and 14% are single parent households. 88% of the dwellings in this area are stand-alone houses and townhouses account for another 8%. The houses are mainly modern brick and tile houses but there are a sprinkling of post-war weatherboard homes in the area too. There are plenty of parks and greenspaces in the area.
It is commonly noted by the locals - that there is a large number of oriental immigrants. The cultural scene is brought to life with many Thai, Korean and Chinese restaurants and businesses.
The local primary school is Sunnybank Hills Primary.
The suburb is serviced by several shopping centres, which includes the extensive Sunnybank Hills Shopping Town. The centre features a Woolworths supermarket and the southsides only Pick 'n Pay Hypermarket.
