Suncadia is a 6,300-acre master-planned, four-season resort and residential community located in the Cascade Mountains near Roslyn, Washington, United States. Originally called MountainStar and proposed by Trendwest, the resort is a now joint undertaking between Jeld-Wen and Lowe Enterprises. Built on former forest lands purchased from Plum Creek Timber Company, Inc., when completed in 2010 (construction started in 2002), the $1 billion project will feature three golf courses, a hotel and village center, restaurants and shops, trails and recreational areas, and 2,000 residential units. One of the golf courses, called Prospector and designed by Arnold Palmer's firm, has been completed as of 2005.
