Sun's Secure Global Desktop, SGD, not a desktop solution in and on itself but a way to get to a desktop from anywhere including mobil devices

Sun also has Java Desktop System whitch is based on Gnome

Looking Glass which has recently hit its 1.0, Unix based 3d windows error, not as polished but entirely open source.

This is based on a phone call with Matt Ingenthron, who works in El Segundo CA at Sun Microsystems.
