Talk:Summer hit

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

It might just be me, but this article seems really negative about so-called summer hits. I still hear Castles in the Sky, for example, on the radio and whatnot, it's actually a favourite song of mine so I might be biased. But it seems to imply that just because a song becomes popular during the summer, it isn't worthwhile. Just because a term can have negative connotations doesn't mean that the whole article ought to be negative about the topic. It's common for a song to be popular for a while when it's first released and then to fade away, into no more than occasional rotation on the radio. Most radio stations that I'm familiar with play new songs /current singles 90% of the time, and everything else only 10% (total approximation, aka I pulled those numbers out of my ass, but you get the idea). I want some other opinions before making changes that could be construed as my personal opinion... thanks.... kaiti-sicle 15:12, 12 January 2007 (UTC)

I think the only negative part is the third paragraph, which is not enough to give the article negative connotations. Pictureuploader 08:02, 13 January 2007 (UTC)
Huh, okay, well, then it is just me. That's why I asked =p kaiti-sicle 21:03, 13 January 2007 (UTC)

Until someone can prove otherwise, that's what I'll believe about this article.--h i s s p a c e r e s e a r c h 12:17, 13 March 2007 (UTC)
