Summer Ann Newman is the daughter of Nick Newman and Phyllis Summers in the Daytime CBS soap-opera The Young and the Restless. She was born during an ice storm in which Nick went to save Daniel from some sort of trouble. Phyllis gave birth in an elevator and was assisted by her ex-husband, Jack Abbott. Nick was thankful to Jack for helping Phyllis in her time of need.
