Talk:Sulaym ibn Qays
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
[edit] Legacy
I removed the Legacy section, it's misleading and unreferenced. The Khoi cite claims that Sunnis narrated from Sulaym Ibn Qays in reliable collections but makes no citations as to which Sunni collections he's speaking of. In any case, even if Sulaym was narrated from, "The Book of Sulaym ibn Qays" which is purportedly his has nothing to do with the Sunni chains nor is the book mentioned by the Sulaym's alleged contemporaries or some of the earliest Muslim scholars. Furthermore, the link to the "playandlearn.org" website was also misleading as playandlearn similarily didn't cite a single Sunni source that allegedly transmits from Sulaym. In fact, the playandlearn link doesn't even discuss Sulaym as being found in Sunni collections and the passing reference made to Sunnis isn't about Sulaym but about some alleged narrations in Sunni collections concerning the Shi'a concept of Imamah. xx-Mohammad Mufti-xx 11:38, 4 January 2007 (UTC)
