Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah Power Station

Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah Power Station is a major power station in the Klang Valley region of Peninsular Malaysia. This coal-powered power station is located in Kapar, Selangor. A broken main switch of the power station caused a major blackout in southern Peninsular Malaysia in 2003. The wetlands around the power station is a major stopover for migratory birds.

It was constructed between 1976 and 1980. The station was officially opened in 1982 by Almarhum Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah of Selangor.
