[edit] Lineage

Sukhumbhand is a descendant of King Chulalongkorn via Queen Sukumala's only son, Prince Paripatra. Queen Sukumala was the most junior of King Chulalongkorn's queens, below Queen Saovabha (mother of King Vajiravudh and Prajadhipok) and Queen Savang Vadhana (mother of Prince Mahidol and grandmother of King's Ananda Mahidol and Bhumibol Adulyadej). The 1924 Palace Law of Succession gave the male descendants of Queen Sukumala a claim to the throne behind that of the 2 senior queens.

Queen Sukumala had only one son, Prince Paripatra. Prince Paripatra had 1 son by a royal wife: Chumbhotpong Paripatra, and 1 son by a commoner wife: Prince Sukhumbhinanda. Chumbhotpong Paripatra had a daughter by a royal wife. Prince Sukhumbhinanda had 2 sons by a commoner wife: Mom Ratchawong Sukhumbhand and Mom Ratchawong Vararos (born 1959). Sukhumbhand Paripatra has two sons via two commoner wives Nootchawadee Bamroontrakoon and Sawitree Phamornboot. The sons are Mom Luang Phinitphan and Mom Luang Waraphinan.
