Suhaj

Suhaj or Sohag (Arabic: سوهاج) is the capital of Suhaj Governorate, Egypt. Suhaj lies on the Nile and is the next major city after Asyut. It has many smaller towns, most notably Akhmim, also referred to as "The City of Martyrs". Another large city is Gerga, Sohaj.
