Sugarcreek is a village in Tuscarawas County, Ohio, United States. The population was 2,174 at the 2000 census.

Sugarcreek is located at (40.506637, -81.641728),GR1 along the South Fork of Sugar Creek.[1]
According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 9.8 km² (3.8 mi²), all land.

As of the censusGR2 of 2000, there were 2,174 people, 873 households, and 639 families residing in the village. The population density was 220.9/km² (572.2/mi²). There were 923 housing units at an average density of 93.8/km² (242.9/mi²). The racial makeup of the village was 99.13% White, 0.14% African American, 0.05% Native American, 0.46% Asian, 0.05% from other races, and 0.18% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.05% of the population.
There were 873 households out of which 33.4% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 66.0% were married couples living together, 4.9% had a female householder with no husband present, and 26.8% were non-families. 25.5% of all households were made up of individuals and 15.0% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.49 and the average family size was 3.00.
In the village the population was spread out with 25.2% under the age of 18, 8.7% from 18 to 24, 27.0% from 25 to 44, 21.2% from 45 to 64, and 17.8% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 38 years. For every 100 females there were 95.3 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 91.0 males.
The median income for a household in the village was $36,360, and the median income for a family was $43,707. Males had a median income of $32,068 versus $19,792 for females. The per capita income for the village was $16,107. About 6.8% of families and 7.2% of the population were below the poverty line, including 9.3% of those under age 18 and 10.2% of those age 65 or over.
