Again, welcome!  I am just reverting any vandalism, but I will step back for now. I guess you saw this on RC patrol? Philip Gronowski Contribs 00:33, 13 March 2007 (UTC)

Yes, caught it while cruising new edits. I'm glad you don't mind my sticking my nose in. I just hate to see edit wars, they can get so nasty. Wiki should be a fun place, and I've seen edit wars turn nice people into monsters. It's good for all sides to back off and give it a rest, I'm glad I could help.

[edit] The Outlaw Halo Award

The Outlaw Halo Award
Is hereby presented to Sue Rangell[citation needed] for her audacious edits, which have given me some of the best laughs I've had in weeks. Thank you for your contributions to the community. Kathryn NicDhàna 07:06, 16 March 2007 (UTC)

Wow I don't know what to say! ...and I'm the first recipient and stuff. It's a great award. I have to pass it on to somebody now (It's a kharma thing, if someone does a good deed to you, pass it on to two others), so I'll give a lot of thought to who I should pass this along to. Wow, an OUTLAW! I'm flattered and honored! Thank you so much!

[edit] Help please...

Somebody has vandalized the picture of Sonny Perdue, and I noticed you had recently reverted vandalism on Roy Barnes' page. Could you revert Perdue's bio to the correct picture? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 85.25.140.160 (talk) 23:55, 17 March 2007 (UTC).

Done. Sue Rangell[citation needed] 00:06, 18 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Barnstar

The RickK Anti-Vandalism Barnstar
is awarded to Sue Rangell for beating me to the rollback button. :D Kaori Mogami 22:16, 18 March 2007 (UTC)

Rick, I owe you one. I've been having the worse day possible, and just when I've been giving serious thought to quitting wiki altogether, you award me a barnstar. You have brightened my day! Thank you so much for helping me put things in perspective! Sue Rangell[citation needed] 22:22, 18 March 2007 (UTC)

  • No problem. Glad I helped make your day. Kaori Mogami 23:06, 18 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Scouting

Glad to see you join and nom'd the Boy Scout (BSA) article. Actually, we thought it needed more work, but we'll see how it goes. Were you in Girl Scouts? We really need more people knowledgeable in the female side of Scouting. See our Girl Guide/Scout Taskforce at Wikipedia:WikiProject_Scouting/Girl_Guiding_and_Girl_Scouting_task_force and add yourself to Wikipedia:WikiProject_Scouting/Members. [edit] Templates (userboxes)

Templates can be used in four ways (that I can think of!)

  1. "transcluded" {{my-template}} puts the text of the template in the rendered page without any "noinclude" sections
  2. "substituted" {{subst:my-template}} puts the text of the template in the source page without any "noinclude" sections
  3. "referred" [[template:my-template|my-template]] or {{tl|my-template}} merely creates a link
  4. "pasted" the text of my template puts the text of the template in the source page including any "noinclude" sections.

This last is what I think you did with a userbox. Therefore the category that should have only applied to the userbox was applied to your page as well. You are not the only person to do this, by a long way! Regards, Rich Farmbrough, 12:39 20 March 2007 (GMT).

You are absolutely correct! I wouldn't have caught that in a thousand years, thanks for fixing it!! Sue Rangell[citation needed] 23:54, 20 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Wikipedia:Featured article candidates/Sonoma County, California

It does look as if this won't get consensus to be Featured, and is clearly causing bad blood. Could I ask that you agree to withdrawing the nomination until most of the issues brought up are addressed? Thanks, AnonEMouse (squeak) 14:17, 20 March 2007 (UTC)

I thought that was already done. When I saw the trouble brewing, I just pulled the nomination rather than try to push. It's possible I screwed something up, I wasn't expecting such a negative reaction to the nomination. Sue Rangell[citation needed] 23:56, 20 March 2007 (UTC)
Thank you, with that, it's been removed from the FAC page. Don't take the process so hard, please, criticism of the article isn't meant to be a criticism of you personally. We need all the well intentioned contributors we can get, and we appreciate your efforts. Just curious, though, why or how exactly are you a hairnet? :-) --AnonEMouse (squeak) 13:04, 21 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Signature

Please remove {{fact}} or whatever it is from your sig, transclusion in sigs is frowned on and in this case you are adding huge numbers of Talk pages to the category of articles needing citations. Thanks, Guy (Help!) 15:17, 20 March 2007 (UTC)

You should take a closer look at my sig, lol. Try actually clicking on it. I changed it over a long time ago, when I realised what it was doing.

[edit] Featured article criteria - another level of detail

Please note that the article you recently created, Featured article criteria - another level of detail, currently resides in the main space. Self-referencing Wikipedia articles should be located in the "Wikipedia:" namespace. Please see WP:NS. -- intgr 01:58, 21 March 2007 (UTC)

I have moved the article for you. -- intgr 03:24, 21 March 2007 (UTC)
Thanx a lot, I was so busy that I never got to your note. I really appreciate the move. Feel free to contribute to it! Sue Rangell[citation needed] 03:27, 21 March 2007 (UTC)
Sorry, just a statement about what you are wearing when you write this isn't sufficient, we need verifiable information - in other words photos of you, writing, are required. --AnonEMouse (squeak) 19:25, 23 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Cryptozoology

Hi Sue. I stumbled across your page and I noticed the box that said you are interested in cryptozoology. I wonder if you could check out the article on Bigfoot? I, myself, think it is highly unlikely that bigfoots (bigfeet?) really exist, however it would be very cool if they did. My problem with the article is its meanspiritedness toward bigfoot believers. Rather than present the subject as an interesting folk belief the article goes out of its way to throw in the words "fake", "fraud", and "pseudoscience" every few sentences. Thanks if you are interested in checking this out. Steve Dufour 12:20, 27 March 2007 (UTC)

I'll do that, thank you for bringing it to my attention. Sue Rangell[citation needed] 17:42, 27 March 2007 (UTC)
