Sue Schilling

April Sue Schilling is an American Republican Party politician in New Jersey, who has been a member of the Atlantic County Board of Chosen Freeholders since 2003. Schilling represents District 4 on the Board, which covers Galloway Township (2000 census population of 31,209) and the cities of Absecon (7,638), Brigantine (12,594) and Port Republic (1,037).
Schilling was appointed to fill the vacancy caused by the resignation of Kirk W. Conover after his election to the New Jersey General Assembly. She was elected to a full term of office in 2004. On the Board of Freeholders, Schilling chairs the Intergovernmental Committee and the Land Development Standards Committee. She serves as a member of the Facilities Committee, Greentree Golf Course Committee, Human Services Committee, Parks Committee and the Pinelands Review Committee.
Schilling served as a Councilmember in the City of Brigantine Beach for eleven years. Schilling was appointed to the Brigantine Council to fill a vacancy in 1992, becoming the first woman to be sworn into office in the city's history since its incorporation in 1897.
