[edit] Importance of this film/review

This film rates very low on the 'importance' scale, is a bit on the clichéd side, of the "and then the boy woke up" variety, but the sets and atmospheric music were pretty well done, and most of the acting was not too bad. It's really the script that brought this one down. I found myself wishing it would be over soon, it seemed to drag far more than necessary to create suspense, and some of the foreshadowing was so heavyhanded as to spoil any suspense there would otherwise have been. The person who watched this with me and I were both predicting exactly what was about to happen for more than half of the movie. I really like some of the actors too, so it was just too bad. I wouldn't say this film makes a 5 on the 1-to-10 scale, though it could have been fairly good with a little bit of work, post-production (cutting it a bit shorter) or a better script. Anything said about the plot other than the general "he checked in for a routine procedure and found horror" would completely spoil it.User:Pedant 08:39, 30 March 2007 (UTC)
