Sub Bass Snarl

Sub Bass Snarl is a long running music duo from Sydney, Australia formed by Sebastian Chan (also known as Yellow Peril) and Luke Dearnley (also known as Lex Luthor), who employ a "decks and effects" setup. Since first forming in 1991, they have performed at over 1,000 events, including five Big Day Out festivals, Vibes On A Summer’s Day, and events from underground parties and clubs to galleries and corporate spaces. Overseas, Sub Bass Snarl has performed in Tokyo, as well as shows in San Francisco, London and New Zealand.

They are also known for their improvised film scores and have improvised new soundtracks, complete with dialogue, for The Thing, Once Upon A Time In China, Moon Warriors, Tetsuo II, Hellraiser, and other cult cinema.

Dearnley and Chan also used to run a weekly Sunday night music event called Frigid, which ran between 1996 and 2006. They also host the long running radio programme Paradigm Shift on Sydney community station 2SER.
