[edit] Synopsis

Spoiler warning: Plot and/or ending details follow.

When a demon, Sirk, tries to destroy his human half by killing off his remaining blood relatives, Paige casts a spell that inadvertently blocks all death from occurring. Annoyed that he now has a back-log of work, the Angel of Death insists that the Charmed Ones help him clean up the mess and "kills" Piper so she can help him restore the Grand Design. Piper is alarmed when she sees that Phoebe's name is next on the list of souls to be taken. Meanwhile, Agent Brody reveals that he has been on the Halliwell's trail for years, and Phoebe faces her feelings for Leslie.

[edit] Trivia

  • This episode title is a play on words to the mythical River Styx and the phrase/television series Six Feet Under.
  • Actor Simon Templeman reprises his role as the Angel of Death.
  • Phoebe receives her ability to see premonitions in this episode after her powers were taken from her in Crimes and Witch Demeanors. For the rest of the series run she doesn't display the ability to levitate or sense emotions again, which were her two other witch abilities.
  • Piper dies and temporarily becomes one of the angels of death. Her "fake" death was covered up by the F.B.I.
  • Paige died as well in this episode.
  • Sirk is only a half demon, much like Cole Turner.
  • Death's list contains the names of many Charmed crew members.
  • Death mentions he knows Prue. They met in the season 3 episode "Death Takes a Halliwell". He also said he knew Patty and Penny.
  • This episode--being the fifth of the season--marks the earliest point in any season in which a sister truly dies (Paige). The only two episodes earlier in any season to have a sister's death would be Phoebe's future death in season two's Morality Bites and Prue's clones in season one's Which Prue Is It, Anyway?

[edit] International titles

  • French: La mort lui va si bien
  • Spanish: Pacto con la muerte
  • German: Todesengel (The Angel of Death)
