Sturdi-bilt

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Sturdi-Bilt toy trucks were made by the Product Engineering Company (PECO) in Portland, Oregon starting in 1949-1950. Production ceased in the mid 1950s. These die-cast aluminum and zinc alloy trucks had a logo on the doors of a man flexing his muscles. On some unknown date, production shifted to Coquille, Oregon. The logo on the cab changed to a rectangular shaped one with Sturdi-Bilt.

These toys similar in style to those producted by Smith-Miller in California, and to the All American toy produced in Salem, Oregon. They are extremely large toys, exceeding 10 pounds in weight and 30 inches in length.
