Studio B is an American news/talk television program on the Fox News Channel, hosted by Shepard Smith weekdays, Trace Gallagher weekends.
Broadcast live at 3 p.m. ET daily, the program continues coverage of stories followed during prior hours of Fox News Live. The coverage includes correspondents on location, in studio, in addition to analysis from pundits or experts. Additionally, the show also features a number of subject-oriented segments, which include finance, technology, law, and health.
Compared to other hours of news coverage, Studio B is commonly seen as more laid-back, including a short segment of smalltalk after bottom-of-the-hour headlines between either Shepard and Jane Skinner, or Trace and Julie Banderas, commonly about soft news or irrelevant stores of the day.
Studio B replaced the 3 p.m. hour of Fox News Live, also hosted by Smith, in 2002, and the weekend hour of FNL in 2005.
