Student Rick was once a pop punk band. They caught the eye of Victory Records who introduced them to the emo trend. Victory Records gave them their first record deal. Still keeping their punk background mixed in with the latest emo trend, the band created Soundtrack For A Generation in 2001.

Student Rick consisted of Adam Reiter (guitar/vocals), Brett Jones (guitar/vocals), Jason Pavilanas (bass), and Zach Davis (drums). They were most famous for their song Falling For You. This song was featured in the game Aggressive Inline.
Student Rick, broke up around October of 2002.
The band formed after the break up of Student Rick also disbanded on February 5th of 2007, announced on absolutepunk.net.
The 4 original members of student rick are back as a band called Hello Vegas. You can visit their myspace and listen to their songs on www.myspace.com/hellovegas. They are currently unsigned.
